This Privacy Policy describes how Rankd (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the website at myrankd.com (the “Service”).

Information we collect

Quiz answers. When you take a test, we process your answers locally in your browser to generate your result. Quiz answers are not sent to or stored on our servers.
Unlock state. If you purchase a paid unlock, we store a small flag in your browser’s local storage so you can access your unlocked results. This flag does not contain any personal or payment information.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number, bank details, or billing address — Stripe does. Stripe may share limited information with us (for example, that a payment succeeded and which product was purchased).
Analytics. We may collect basic, aggregated, non-identifying usage data (page views, approximate location, device type) to improve the Service.
Ad network data. We use Google AdSense to serve ads. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to personalize ads based on your visits to this and other websites. See Google’s ad policies at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

How we use information

To provide, operate, and improve the Service.
To process purchases and deliver the paid insights you’ve unlocked.
To serve relevant ads (through Google AdSense).
To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud or abuse.

We use local storage (a browser feature similar to cookies) to remember which tests you’ve unlocked. Our ad partner, Google, uses cookies to personalize ads. You can control cookies through your browser settings and opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com.

Children’s privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention

Because quiz answers are not sent to our servers, there is nothing on our side to retain for most users. Payment records are retained by Stripe per their policies and, on our side, only minimal purchase metadata is retained for accounting and fraud prevention.
